Core tasks and goals

The main objective of Swiss Hepatitis is to eliminate viral hepatitis in Switzerland. The association is based on the global goals of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and aims to implement these goals for Switzerland. To this end, Swiss Hepatitis maintains a competence network in the field of viral hepatitis with a special focus on public health aspects.

The following objectives are pursued:

to develop, implement and enforce a strategy for the elimination of viral hepatitis in Switzerland,
to coordinate and devlop the Swiss Hepatitis Strategy Network,
to provide information on viral hepatitis to doctors, patients and the public,
to maintain and continuously update the www.hepatitis-switzerland.ch platform.
